Through its unique and state-of-the-art system, HUB and innovative terminals, SatMENA can provide ubiquitous connectivity all over the Sultanate of Oman, for a small bandwidth, without the need for a bulky VSAT terminal that requires time, effort and place to be installed.
Using a lightweight & portable standalone modem with an integrated electronically steerable phased array antenna for automatic acquisition and tracking, installation of this terminal becomes extremely easy, where it can be mounted on a vehicle or at any location either permanently or temporarily, no matter how remote this location is. The only condition is to have a line of sight between the modem and SatMENA’s satellite for the connection to be established.
The modem has multiple interfaces to interconnect with from the IoT network side, making it easy to integrate with existing networks or with any network that a customer might be building. The interfaces are WiFi, Bluetooth, PoE Ethernet and serial ports, allowing the modem to be directly connected to sensors supporting any of these protocols or to any IoT base station (ex. Lora base station), enabling an IoT network or sector to be up and running in no time, at any location in Oman, whether at sea, in the mountains, in the desert, in villages or cities.
